Bobby Armiger
Principal Biomedical Engineer, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory
Bobby Armiger is a principal biomedical engineer and leads the Exploratory Science Branch within APL’s Research and Exploratory Development Department. His branch drives pioneering research in the areas of biological sciences, human performance and biomechanics, multifunctional materials and nanostructures, and experimental and computational physics to enable APL’s future missions. His research has encompassed computer and robotic assisted surgical systems, development of neuroprosthetic technologies for restoring function to wounded warfighters, and performing modeling and simulation to understand and mitigate traumatic injury. He was named Outstanding Young Engineer by the Maryland Academy of Sciences.
