Kelly Middleton Banks

Kelly Middleton Banks serves as the Director of Programs and Initiatives at the National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB). In this capacity, Banks assumes the pivotal role of overseeing program design, crafting content, and establishing collaborative partnerships for NAWB's initiatives. Her leadership is instrumental in aiding workforce development boards to implement and elevate promising practices and strategies. Banks leads NAWB's diverse Workforce Initiatives, including Family Centered Employment, Workforce+SNAP E&T, the expansion of apprenticeship programs, and the facilitation of greater industry and business involvement in workforce development.
Before her tenure at NAWB, Banks managed a grant portfolio focused on expanding medical research and education to improve the care of older adults. Additionally, Banks worked closely with TRIO programs providing technical assistance and overseeing national grants aimed at fostering high school graduation and post-secondary education among low-income students.
Banks has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from DePauw University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Throughout her professional journey, Banks passion and commitment has been aimed at promoting opportunities for underserved and marginalized populations through healthcare, education, and workforce development.
