Troy joined the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee for a second time in February 2023, after previously serving on the Committee in 2017 and 2018. Prior to returning as a Senior Professional Staff Member, Troy worked for Deloitte as a Senior Consultant and was a political appointee for the Trump administration serving as the Chief of Staff for the Office of Science at the Department of Energy. Troy grew up on a small cattle farm in western Ohio before attending West Virginia University and receiving a degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering.
